Q: What does a UL Monitoring Station Do?

A: Our UL listed Monitoring Center is strategically located in Memphis, TN to best serve our customers. With direct phone connections to local jurisdictions, our operators are able to provide quick notification of fires and burglaries. Underwriters Laboratories independently surveys our site and records to assure that we meet their rigid requirements. As an end user, you can be assure that Peak Alarm has passed the highest ratings in the security industry!

Q: My alarm system was not installed by Advanced Systems. Can you still monitor it?

A: Yes, In the majority of cases we will be able to program your existing panel into our monitoring station. Repairs and upgrades can also be done if needed.

Q: By having an alarm system in my home or business does this entitle me to an insurance discount?

A: Yes in most cases insurance discounts up to 20%

Q: Will your Monitoring Center receive an alarm signal if the alarm is not armed?

A: No, we will not receive an alarm signal. It is important to turn your alarm on, even when you are at home. It is best to have your perimeter protection on whenever possible. Perimeter protection is an option that allows you to move about freely inside your home while all doors and windows are armed.

Q: My telephone lines are exposed, what happens when the phones are dead or the line gets cut?

A: Normally, if your phone lines become disabled due to tampering, severe weather, or construction, your alarm signal will not reach our 24-Hour Monitoring Center. Because our 24-Hour Monitoring Center is a critical part of your security system, Advanced Systems offers several alternative communication options.

ALARM PROCEDURES

If you accidentally trip your alarm please follow these instructions.

1. Remain calm
2. Silence your Alarm System (enter code)
3. Wait for the Monitoring Station to call you (do not try to call them)
4. You will be asked your all clear / password “clearly say your secret code.”
5. Clear your keypad “it sometimes has a reminder light or zone showing.
** If we call and there is no answer, a machine, or the correct passcode is not given, then the Police/Fire department will be dispatched. Your call list will be contacted.
